Pact Tanzania invites quotes from eligible, registered companies to supply business startup kits for caregivers in targeted councils.

USAID Kizazi Kipya Project collaborates with the Government of Tanzania and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to implement the economic strengthening (ES) interventions which aims to ensure that parents and caregivers have the financial resources to meet the needs of vulnerable children and adolescents by increasing OVC Households’ capacity to cope with effects of the various risks they face and thereby improve their resiliency to future shocks.

Kizazi Kipya’s ES interventions include linkage to Provisional support for destitute households, establishment and management of savings and lending groups for OVC caregivers (currently 9476 WORTH Yetu with 167,109 members), linkage to technical and business skills training, Provision of business startup kits to most needy households and linkage of producers with markets for their products. In 2021, Pact Tanzania will provide business startup kits to 1,422 individual caregivers of under-five children living with HIV (CLHIV) and 2 worth yetu groups.

Please note: – The quote that complies with all the specifications/requirements and offers value for money, as well as all other evaluation criteria indicated in the TOR, shall be selected;

  • Pact may cancel the solicitation and not award; – Pact may reject any or all responses received; – Issuance of request for quotes does not constitute a contract commitment by Pact;
  • Pact reserves the right to disqualify any offer based on offeror failure to follow the solicitation instructions; – Pact reserves the right to waive minor proposal deficiencies that can be corrected prior to award determination to promote competition; – Pact will be contacting all offerors to confirm contact person, address and that the proposal was submitted for this solicitation.

The following lots to be supplied and distributed: –

Lot 1: Food vending kits: spoons, cups, bowls, charcoal stoves, sourcing pans, plastic tables, plastic chairs, Gas cookers, marble plates, Hot pots, Blenders, Water glasses, Freezers, beam balance, knives, tea can, thermos, Jaba, Chips iron bowl, Drain iron, chips iron spoon, fire picker, superghet making machine, Bucket, Coolbox, Jug, glitter, Dell, frying pan, plastic drum, basin, cutting board, juicy machine, bids curtain, Plastic dish shelf, plastic squire plate, steel barrier, umbrella, wooden spoon, Lugume grinder, saving spoon, refrigerator;

Lot 2: Agriculture/Horticulture items: Flour Processing Machine, Water pump, Hoe, Lake, Water can, gumboot, sprayer pump, Matches, Axe, Plough, Chicken cage, Incubator, chicken feeder, Tray, Spade, Solar panel; –

Lot 3: Handcraft, Metalworks, and Petty Trade Kit: Welding Machine, bicycle, Soap making materials, shoe brush, shoe rack, Bar soap mould, metal Drum, Liquid soap making, shoe polish, Manila thread, shoe glue.

Interested, eligible vendor should deliver their quotation to the Tender Committee Pact Tanzania 74 Uporoto Street, Victoria P.O. Box 6348, Dar es salaam, Tanzania. All quotes must be in Tanzanian Shillings and enclosed in a plain sealed envelope. PACT will open all bids on Tuesday, 6th April 2021 at 11:30 am in the presence of Bidder’s representatives who choose to attend. The Bidders’ representatives who are present shall sign a register evidencing their attendance. Closing Date: Tuesday 6th April 2021, at 11:00am (Dar es Salaam, Tanzania) Submission Date and time: 6th April 2021. Late or incomplete bids will not be accepted.
