The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania through Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited (TANESCO) has funds for the implementation of various strategic projects during the financial year 2020-2021. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract for the Supply of equipment and materials for the construction of 400/220/132/132kV Chalinze substation. Each Lots has its own Tendering documents. Tenderers are allowed to quote for all Lots or Individual Lot. The award will be made on a Lot basis.
Tendering will be conducted through the International Competitive Tendering procedures specified in the Public Procurement Regulations, 2013 – Government Notice No. 446 as amended in 2016, and is open to all Tenderers as defined in the Regulations.
All Lots must be accompanied by a Tender Security using standard forms provided in section VIII of the tendering documents in bank guarantee or insurance bond in the amount of: i. Lot 1: TZS 170,000.00; ii. Lot 2: TZS 50,000.00; iii. Lot 3: TZS 30,000.00. The Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited (TANESCO) invites tenders from eligible Manufacturers/Authorized dealers for the Supply of equipment and materials for construction of 400/220/132/132kV Chalinze substation: – Lot 1: Supply of switchyard equipment; – Lot 2: Supply of Control, Protection, and SCADA system equipment; – Lot 3: Supply of Steel Towers and Gantry structure.

The Bidding document in English may be purchased by interested eligible Tenderers upon the submission of a written application to the same address. The document will be sent through e-mail of the applicant after certification of payment of the subscription fee.
The Bidding document in English may be purchased by interested eligible Tenderers upon payment of a non-refundable fee of 43 USD (United States Dollar Forty-Three) or equivalent amount in Tanzania Shillings (TZS) for each Lot.
