- ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT -MWANZA
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Assistant Accountant is responsible for supporting the finance department in day-to-day accounting operations. This role ensures accurate financial record-keeping, assists in financial reporting, and supports.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Record and maintain accurate financial transactions
- Prepare and process invoices, payments, and receipts
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure proper documentation
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Maintain and update fixed asset registers
- Organize and file financial documents for easy retrieval and audit readiness
- Support internal and external audit processes
- Handle petty cash and ensure timely replenishment
- Liaising with third-party providers, clients, and suppliers
- Provide general administrative support to the office team as needed
- Carry out any other accounting-related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate for this role should have
- A minimum education required is at least a Diploma in Accounting, Finance, and any other related field.
- Proven work experience as an Assistant Accountant for not less than 2 years
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Good understanding of basic accounting principles
- Strong organization skills with a problem-solving attitude
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and meet deadlines

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Office Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the office. This includes managing administrative operations, coordinating office activities, and providing support to both management and staff to maintain an efficient work environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain organized physical and digital filing systems for both financial and administrative records
- Coordinate office supplies procurement and ensure inventory is up to date
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and staff travel
- Support the onboarding of new staff and maintain updated employee records
- Handle routine office communications and follow-ups with service providers
- Ensure compliance with office procedures and company policies
- Assist in the preparation and submission of statutory documents and licenses
- Maintain cleanliness and readiness of the office environment
- Provide general administrative support to the office team as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate for this role should have
- A minimum education required is at least a Diploma in Business Administration, and any other related field.
- Proven work experience as an Office Admin for not less than 2 years
- Proficiency in Microsoft software package
- Strong organization skills with a problem-solving attitude
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and meet deadlines
