and management of contract for construction of railway bridge at
349/450KM and the linking railway line from the existing MGR line
between Godegode-Gulwe section (349KM-355KM) under Design and Build
Expression of Interest

1. This invitation for expression of interest follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN)
   which appeared in www.taneps.go.tz Issue no. N/A dated 12/07/2022.
2. The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has set aside funds for the operation
   of the Tanzania Railways Corporation during the financial year 2022/2023. It is intended
   that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the
   contract for the Procurement of Consultany services for review of design, supervision and
   management of contract for construction of railway bridge at 349/450KM and the linking
   railway line from the existing MGR line between Godegode-Gulwe section (349KM-355KM)
   under Design and Build.
3. The Tanzania Railways Corporation now invites eligible Firms to indicate their interest
   in providing the services which include Consultancy services for review of design,
   supervision and management of contract for construction of Railway bridge at km 349/450
   and the linking railway Line from the existing Meter Gauge Railway Line between
   Godegode – Gulwe section (km 349 –km 355) under design and build (D&B) arrangement
   for the duration period of 24 calendar months
4. Interested Firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform
   the services by submitting consultant’s profile, description of similar assignments,
   experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.
   Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.
5. A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the Public
   Procurement Act No. 7 of 2011 and the Public Procurement Regulations, 2013 – Government
   Notice No. 446 (hereinafter called Procurement Regulations).
6. Selection will be conducted through the Quality and Cost based selection procedures
   specified in the Public Procurement Regulations.
7. Interested eligible consultants may obtain further information from the office of the
   Ilala Shaurimoyo Dar es salaam, [email protected] from 08:00-16:30 on Mondays to Fridays
   inclusive except on public holidays.
8. Expressions of Interest (EoI) must be electronically submitted in the proper format, at or
   before 13/03/2023, 10:30
9. Late Expressions of Interest shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the
   circumstances.
