1. This Invitation for submission of Proposals follows the General Procurement Notice for
   project which appeared in www.taneps.go.tz Issue no. Taneps dated 17/08/2022.
2. The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has set aside funds for the operation
   of the Tanzania National Roads Agency – Ruvuma during the financial year 2022/23. It is
   intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under
   the contract for the Consultancy Services for Feasibility Study, Detailed Engineering Design
   and Preparation of Tender Document for Upgrading of Nangombo – Chiwindi (39.4km)
   and Mbinga – Litembo -Mkiri (Mbinga – Mbuji section -22Km) Roads to Bitumen Standard
   and Route Selection from Chiwindi to Lumesule approximately 525km..
3. The Tanzania National Roads Agency – Ruvuma now invites proposals to provide the
   following consulting services: More details on the services are provided in the Terms
   of Reference. 1. Feasibility Study, Detailed Engineering Design and Preparation of
   Tender Document for Upgrading of Nangombo – Chiwindi 39.4km Road to Bitumen
   Standard. 2. Feasibility Study, Detailed Engineering Design and Preparation of Tender
   Document for Upgrading of Mbinga – Mbuji (22Km) Road to Bitumen Standard. 3.
   Selection of the most feasible and economical route from Chiwindi – Mkenda – Lusewa –
   Lumesule approximately 525km, preliminary design for opening up to gravel standard and
   preparation of tender documents. The quick and cost effective secondary data collection
   supplemented by actual data collection for verification purpose shall be deployed. The
   minimum secondary data for alignment and profile design shall include high precision
   satellite image and drones.
4. This Request for Proposal (RFP) has been addressed to the following short-listed
   Consultants:

   It is not permissible to transfer this invitation to any other firm.
5. A firm will be selected under National Competitive Selection and procedures described
   in this RFP.
