    Expression of Interest
    Date 29/03/2023
  1. This invitation for expression of interest follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN)
    which appeared in www.taneps.go.tz Issue no. n/a dated 04/09/2022.
  2. The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has set aside funds for the operation
    of the Tanzania National Roads Agency – HQ during the financial year 2022/23. It is
    intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment
    under the contract for the Consultancy Services for Feasibility Study, Detailed Engineering
    Design, Environmental and Social Impact Assessment and Preparation of Tender
    Documents for Upgrading of Bariadi – Kisesa – Mwandoya – Ngh’oboko/Mwandoya JCT
    Road (102 Km) to Bitumen Standard.
  3. The Tanzania National Roads Agency – HQ now invites eligible Firms to indicate their
    interest in providing the services which include (a) Phase 1: Carrying out Feasibility Study
    including the Preliminary Design, Cost estimates, Preliminary Environmental & Social
    Impacts Assessment (ESIA) and Development of Preliminary Resettlement Action Plan
    (RAP) for the project. (b) Phase 2: Carrying out Detailed Engineering Design, including
    Detailed Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), Detailed Resettlement
    Action Plan (RAP), Preparation of Tendering Documents and valuation of properties to be
    affected by the project.
  4. Interested Firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform
    the services by submitting consultant’s profile, description of similar assignments,
    experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.
    Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.
  5. A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the Public
    Procurement Act No. 7 of 2011 and the Public Procurement Regulations, 2013 – Government
    Notice No. 446 (hereinafter called Procurement Regulations).
  6. Selection will be conducted through the Quality and Cost based selection procedures
    specified in the Public Procurement Regulations.
  7. Interested eligible consultants may obtain further information from the office of the Dar
    es Salaam, [email protected] from 08:30-16:30 on Mondays to Fridays inclusive
    except on public holidays.
  8. Expressions of Interest (EoI) must be electronically submitted in the proper format, at or
    before 25/04/2023, 10:00
  9. Late Expressions of Interest shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the
    circumstances.
