Officer – Desktop Support
Job Purpose
This position is responsible for providing technology support to employees, for enhancing the efficiency of the Bank through technology; and for ensuring the security of all data. This position will report directly to Head – ITSM & ITDR and will interact with bank employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide help desk support to users onsite and remote. This includes: onboarding, offboarding and transfer, respond to assigned requests within SLAs, troubleshooting user hardware, software and telephone (desk phones and smartphones) issues at all bank locations.
- Travel to bank branch locations to provide on-site support when required.
- Create Windows PC images with bank software, and deploy to designated users/locations.
- Assist with maintaining an up-to-date inventory of assets.
- Assist in infrastructure project work, including branch relocation, closure, opening, office relocation, expansion.
- Assist vendors with trouble shooting of installed systems.
- Cross-train other IT members as needed and be available to be cross-trained.
- Promote and maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner consistent with professional standards to get along with members, co-workers, management and vendors.
- Keep all bank applications current and up-to-date.
- Ensures tickets are entered, updated and addressed per the procedure defined and resolved within SLA.
- Any other assigned work.
Work Experience
- 1-2 years of Information Technology experience.
- Technical knowledge information technology.
- Maintains current understanding of technical processes/equipment, uses technology to increase performance/productivity.
- Adapts to change, open to new ideas and responsibilities.
- Perform quality work within determined timeframes
Preferred Qualifications
- Work on ad-hoc tasks, assignments and projects as needed;
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and effectively manage assigned workload;
- Capable of working independently and within in a team;
- Good communication skills (verbal and written);
- Ability to work with users of all technological skill levels throughout the hierarchy of the organization;
