EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR ACQUISITION OF LANDS OR
BUILDINGS AT DAR ES SALAAM FOR DISTRICT OFFICES

1. Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited – TANESCO is an autonomous Government organization with the mission to Generate, Transmit and Distribute Electricity. The Company has its Headquarters in Dodoma and extends to over 29 Regions divided into Seven Zones and more than 13] Districts all over the County. Due to an increase number of customers, the company has decided to purchase a property for TANESCO District Offices.
2. TANESCO intends to acquire lands or Buildings and therefore issued this Expression of Interest for the
purpose of identifying property owners who have an interest in offering their lands or buildings for sale.
Selection Criteria will be as follows: –
LOT NO. 1 LAND FOR CHANIK4 DISTRICT OFFICE
- The cover letter should indicate the legal owner of the land.
- The owner should state history of the land.
- The owner should have full legal documents
- The land should be within Dala Municipal.
- The land should measure in the range of 4,000 to 10,000 square meters
- The land should be along the road for easy accessibility by customers.
- The location should be along Chanika road from Chanika to Zingiziwa.
- The location should not be more than 500 meters from Chanika road left or night.
LOT NO. 2 LAND FOR GONGO LA MBOTO DISTRICT OFFICE
- The cover letter should indicate the legal owner of the land.
- The owner should state history of the land.
- The owner should have full legal documents.
- The land should be within Dala Municipal.
- The land should measure in the range of 4.000 to 10,000 square meters.
- The land should be along the road for easy accessibility by customers.
- The location should be along Pugu road from Banana to Gongo la Mboto Mwisho, or Kitanda road from Banana to Kovam pemba.
- The location should not be more than 500 meters from Pugu road or Kitunda road left or right.

- The cover letter should indicate the legal owner of the land.
- The owner should state history of land.
- The owner should have full legal documents.
- The land should be within Kinondoni Municipal
- The plot should measure in the range of 4000 to 10000 square meters in Kinondoni Municipal.
- The land should be along the s road for easy accessibility by customer.
- The location should be along New Bagamovo road from Tegeta to Boko.
- The location should not be more than 1000 meters from New Bagamovo road left or aight.
3. TANESCO now invites Expression of Interest from owners of land or Building in the areas specified above. The land shall have easy access to the general public and within a friendly environment that is apocopate for the company business. Land with Building that suite for office uses will be given special consideration.
4. On receipt of such Expression of Interest. the said land or building will be inspected for preliminary shortlisting of those areas that meets requirement under Paragraph 2 above. Owners of the shortlisted land would be requested to submit their financial offers for scrutiny and comparison prior entering into contract with the lowest evaluated owner.
5. The Expression of Interest can be forwarded by on mets or their representatives enclosing legally binding authorization to administer on his‘her behalf including finalizing the agreement.
6. Interested eligible owners of the land or building may obtain expression of interest document free of charge from the office of SECRETARY DELEGATED ZONAL TENDER BOARD, TANESCO P. 0. BOX 2233, DAR ES SALAAM MINISTRY OF ENERGY AND MINERALS BUILDING- SAMORA AVENUE.
Expression of Interest documents in one (1) original plus two (2) copies. properly filled in are to be enclosed in plain sealed envelopes marked, TENDER No PA01/2021-2022/EZN/G/20 EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR ACQUISITION OF LANDS OR BUILDINGS AT DAR ES SALAAM REGION FOR DISTRICT OFFICES, must be delivered wo Secretary Delegated Zonal Tender Board, TANESCO- EAST ZONE, MINISTRY OF ENERGY AND MINERALS BUILDING – SAMORA AVENUE P.O. BOX
2233 DAR ES SALAAM at or before 14:30 HRS 22% November, 2021. If owner has more than one Plot or building to be offered, a separate Expression of Interest has to be submitted for each Plot and tender hot.
1. Deadline for submission will be on or before 14:30hrs local acme 22% November. 2021 on Monday. The submissions will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of owner’s representatives who choose to attend in the opening ceremony.
8. Late submissions, pardon of submissions, electronic submissions, and submissions not received, submissions not opened and not read out in public at the tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted irrespective of the circumstances
