The AML and Sanctions Manager oversees and strengthens the bank’s Anti–Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF), and Sanctions frameworks. This role ensures robust governance, regulatory compliance, and effective financial crime prevention mechanisms across the bank.
Develop, implement, and maintain AML and Sanctions policies, procedures, and risk assessment frameworks.
Lead enterprise-wide AML/CTF and sanctions risk assessments.
Align policies and controls with FATF recommendations and internal standards.
Communicate changes in financial crime-related regulations to relevant business units.
Build strong relationships with business and functional stakeholders to provide timely compliance guidance.
Establish a risk-based compliance framework to identify, assess, and mitigate financial crime risks.

Oversee transaction monitoring alerts and ensure timely SAR/STR submissions.

Ensure strict adherence to beneficial ownership, PEP screening, and CDD documentation.
Oversee sanctions screening across customers, transactions, trade, and payments.
Review and approve sanctions-related escalations and ensure effective sanctions list updates and alert tuning.
Advise stakeholders on regulatory expectations, laws, and best practices.
Participate in new product approval processes to ensure financial crime controls.
Act as the primary liaison with regulators and auditors.
