Key Responsibilities
- Manage all day-to-day accounting operations
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate financial records
- Handle revenue reconciliation from Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) and partners
- Monitor receivables, payables, and cash flow
- Prepare and process payments, invoices, and receipts
- Perform bank and revenue reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with Tanzanian tax laws and regulatory requirements
- Prepare and submit tax returns (VAT, PAYE, corporate tax, withholding tax, etc.)
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Coordinate internal and external audits
- Support management with financial insights and reporting
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA (T), ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting (experience in telecom, digital services, or Mobile VAS industry is an added advantage)
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and tax regulations
- Experience in revenue reconciliation and high-volume transaction environments
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- High level of integrity and attention to detail
