The position
AKES,T is seeking a qualified and dedicated candidate for the position of Admission Communication and Marketing Manager.
The successful candidate will lead the school’s admissions, marketing, and communications functions to achieve enrolment and strategic growth objectives. The role oversees the full admissions lifecycle, develops and implements integrated marketing and communication strategies, strengthens the school’s brand and reputation, and builds strong relationships with prospective and current families.
Key responsibilities
Admissions and enrolment management
- Own the end-to-end admissions funnel, including inquiry, tour, application, assessment, offer, and enrolment.
- Develop and execute the annual enrolment strategy and targets in line with the school’s growth goals.
- Build relationships with prospective families, relocation agents, corporate human resources partners, and embassies or consulates.
- Organize and host open houses, campus tours, and admissions events, both in person and virtually.
- Manage the admissions customer relationship management system and database, ensuring accurate tracking of leads, conversion rates, and follow-ups.
Marketing and communications
- Develop and implement an integrated marketing communications strategy across digital, print, and in-person channels.
- Manage and oversee the school’s website, social media platforms, email newsletters, and content calendar.
- Create marketing collateral, including brochures, videos, digital advertisements, and presentations, in line with established brand guidelines.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, including designers, photographers, videographers, and media agencies.
- Ensure consistent brand identity and messaging across all school materials and platforms.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform the school’s positioning strategy.
- Collaborate with the school’s leadership to align admissions and marketing initiatives with the school’s strategic plan.
Education and professional qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, Education, or a related field.
- Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or Education is desirable.
- Professional certification in marketing, digital marketing, communications, public relations, or customer relationship management (CRM) is an added advantage.
Experience requirements
- Minimum of four years of progressive experience in admissions, enrolment management, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- At least two to three years of experience in a leadership or management role, with responsibility for strategy development, team supervision, and performance management.
- Experience working in an international school, private school, higher education institution, or education-related organization is preferred.
Knowledge and technical competencies
- Strong understanding of admissions processes, enrolment management, and customer journey mapping.
- Excellent knowledge of marketing principles, brand management, digital marketing, and communications strategies.
- Proficiency in social media management, email marketing, content creation, and website administration.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strategic thinking skills, with the ability to align admissions, marketing, and communications initiatives with institutional goals.
Leadership and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills in English.
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with prospective families, students, staff, leadership, alumni, and community partners.
