Duties
Duties and Responsibilities

1. To assist in the preparation of reagents and apparatus for analytical works.
2. To assist in the reception of  samples from  geology department (Internal samples), small scale miners, mining and exploration companies and from other stakeholders.
3. To assist in conducting fire assay, base metals, major and trace elements analysis and water analysis.
4. To assist in preparing samples for chemical analysis.
5. To assist in preparing samples for petrography, mineral processing and mineralogical studies.
6. To assist in the preparation of samples for gemological investigations.
7. To assist in preparing petrography and mineralogical laboratory reagents.
8. To assist in preparing sample for petrography, geotechnical and mineralogical studies.
9. Performing any other official duties assigned by his immediate Supervisor.

Qualifications
Holder of form IV/VI certificate with Trade Test Grade II or Level II in one of the following fields; Geoinformatics, Mineral Processing, Geology, or mining from VETA, MUST, MRI, DIT or any other recognized institution by the government.
