Duties and responsibilities
The Assistant Curator II (History) will be responsible for supporting museum collection management, exhibitions, and related curatorial activities. Specific duties include:
- Ensuring cleanliness of museum collections.
- Taking care of special collections.
- Assisting in the preparation of fieldwork trips.
- Assisting curators in identifying and registering exhibition collections.
- Inspecting incoming and outgoing collections.
- Executing the installation of exhibitions.
- Preparing and distributing exhibition catalogues and displays.
- Preparing exhibition plans and reports.
- Preparing new designs and models for temporary exhibitions.
- Maintaining the workshop and its equipment.
- Performing any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Applicants must be holders of a Diploma in History or Diploma in Education majoring in History from a recognized institution.
Remuneration
The successful candidates will be paid according to the PGSS 4 salary scale.
