Job Purpose
Drive the strategic growth, operational compliance, and overall profitability of the Mwanza branch. The Branch Manager is responsible for expanding the customer base, growing deposits and financing books, managing liquidity, leading branch staff, and ensuring strict adherence to Sharia banking principles and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Business Growth & Profitability: Grow the branch customer base, deposits, financing portfolio, and overall profitability in line with bank targets.
Liquidity & Cost Control: Manage branch liquidity through advance planning at minimal cost and maintain strict oversight on operational expenses.
Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure full adherence to banking regulations, bank policies, KYC, and AML norms to maintain a low risk profile and high audit rating.
Team Leadership & Mentorship: Coach, motivate, and mentor branch staff to achieve operational targets and deliver exceptional customer service.
Committee Leadership: Serve as the Chairperson of the Branch Management Financing Committee.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 7 years of working experience in banking, with an intense background in Branch Management.
Comprehensive knowledge of Sharia banking products, services, and general branch operations.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and strategic planning capabilities.
Proven leadership, team mentorship, and resource management skills.
Excellent relationship management, customer service, and written/verbal communication skills.
