About the Role:

ESRF is seeking a dynamic Communications Officer to enhance the Foundation’s visibility, outreach, and impact by managing communication strategies that effectively disseminate research outputs, policy dialogues, and capacity-building initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support development and implementation of ESRF’s communications strategy
• Coordinate internal and external communications across the Foundation
• Manage branding, publications, and visibility materials
• Produce newsletters, press releases, and media content
• Strengthen media relations and monitor coverage
• Manage website, social media, and digital platforms
• Create digital content (photo, video, graphics, podcasts)
• Support event management, livestreaming, and documentation

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, PR, Marketing, or related field (Master’s is an advantage)
• Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience
• Strong digital communication and social media skills
• Excellent writing and editing skills in English and Kiswahili
