• Position Title: Conservator II – Museum Conservation

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidates will be responsible for:

• Assisting in determining the extent and causes of deterioration of museum collections.
• Assisting in examining the condition of collections and recommending appropriate conservation treatments.
• Monitoring and recording environmental conditions in exhibition halls and storage facilities.
• Participating in the restoration of damaged collections and structures.
• Conducting cleanliness and maintenance of collections.
• Performing any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following fields from a recognized institution:
  • Biology
  • Botany
  • Chemistry
  • Heritage Management
  • Archaeology
  • Anthropology
  • Palaeontology

Remuneration

• Salary Scale: PGSS 6
