Scope of Work & Objectives
The Individual Consulting Engineer will provide independent technical supervision and contract administration across six (6) civil works lots (pathways, retaining walls, green areas, recreational facilities, and associated civil infrastructure).
Quality & Progress Supervision: Oversee construction execution, verify milestones, conduct quantity measurements, and enforce compliance with technical drawings and specifications.
Contract Administration: Advise on proposed technical variations, claims, and extension requests while managing time and cost controls. Consultancy Notice: Individual Consulting Engineer
Site Management & Handover: Lead regular site meetings, conduct inspections, and facilitate completion, defects-liability, and commissioning procedures across multiple active construction fronts.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Professional Registration: Full recognition/registration as a Professional Engineer with a relevant regulatory body (e.g., ERB).
Work Experience:
Minimum 5 years of post-qualification professional experience.
At least 3 similar assignments supervising civil works or infrastructure construction.
Proven track record of supervising multiple concurrent construction sites.
Technical Software & Languages: Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project (or scheduling tools), MS Office, and fluency in English.
Asset/Added Advantage: Prior experience with EU-funded projects or international non-governmental organizations (iNGOs).
