About the role

One Acre Fund is seeking a Creative Lead to join its Global Communications team.

The Creative Lead will work as a deputy to the Creative Director and will manage the Global Communications team support request systems. The role will oversee all incoming creative requests, delegate them to relevant team units, and help ensure the team maintains service-level agreements and quality standards.

The Creative Lead will be a strong contributor to creative brainstorms and ideation, support the organization’s brand management, and review all creative content for quality. The role will also hold final creative reviews for Tier 2 and Tier 3 content.

This position will also manage and support the professional development of a creative team of approximately five people working across graphic design and video, including directly managing approximately three direct reports.

Responsibilities

Creative content quality review and brand management

The Creative Lead will be responsible for maintaining creative quality and supporting One Acre Fund’s brand standards across communications outputs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Holding the quality bar and conducting final reviews for Tier 2 and Tier 3 creative content running through Global Communications
  • Reviewing and providing feedback to improve quality across writing, design, photography, and video
  • Being accountable for final sign-off on Tier 2 and Tier 3 content before publication
  • Engaging in brand building and advising for new affiliates within the organization’s brand families
  • Driving brand guideline expansions and evolutions to better serve One Acre Fund’s markets as needed
  • Working with relevant team members, such as the Design Lead, to build out new or expanded brand guidelines, including youth brand guidelines where needed

Communications support systems

The Creative Lead will help manage, maintain, and improve systems that support the Global Communications team’s workflow and service delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building, maintaining, and improving a single Communications support request form
  • Receiving incoming requests and delegating them to the appropriate team units
  • Ensuring the team upholds service-level agreements and quality standards
  • Continually improving content storage, content sharing systems, and templates
  • Working with the Communications team to execute improvements to support systems and processes

Creative brainstorming and ideation

The Creative Lead will contribute to creative planning, brainstorming, and cross-functional content development.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Contributing to campaign, brand, and design brainstorming and ideation
  • Supporting content planning and designing content that can be repurposed across different channels and use cases
  • Holding standing touchpoints with Internal Communications, External Communications, Digital, and Business Development teams to support content planning and production

Qualifications

  • Strong project management and organizational skills

  • Proficiency in Google Suite
  • Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Technical expertise in one or more creative fields, such as graphic design, video, photography, or writing
  • Strong understanding of One Acre Fund’s brand, what makes it unique, and how to translate it across different mediums and content formats
  • Strong knowledge of one or more of the markets where One Acre Fund operates
