About the Role
The Finance Manager will support the Financial Controller in managing Itibari’s day-to-day accounting and financial operations. The role will ensure accurate financial records, strong statutory compliance, effective internal controls, timely management reporting, and continuity of the Finance Department. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily accounting operations and review entries prepared by Finance Officers.
  • Review journals, invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and reconciliations before posting.
  • Oversee cash management, petty cash, bank transactions, and month-end closing activities.
  • Prepare management reports and analyse revenue, expenses, inventory, and operating costs.
  • Review bank, supplier, customer, inventory, and balance-sheet reconciliations.
  • Oversee inventory accounting, stock reconciliations, revenue recognition, and cost controls.
  • Prepare and review VAT, PAYE, SDL, withholding tax, corporate tax, and other statutory returns.
  • Ensure compliance with TRA requirements, EFD procedures, accounting standards, and deadlines.
  • Support audits, regulatory inspections, internal controls, and risk-management initiatives.
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and accurate supporting financial documentation.
  • Supervise and coach junior finance staff and allocate departmental responsibilities.
  • Support budgets, forecasts, cash-flow reporting, financial planning, and system improvements.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
  • CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent professional qualification is an added advantage.
  • At least four years of relevant accounting experience, including staff supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of Tanzanian taxation, TRA requirements, and statutory reporting.
  • Practical experience in inventory accounting, reconciliations, audits, and internal controls.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • High integrity, accountability, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, technology-enabled environment.
