TSL is seeking a Fixed Income Trader to execute, manage, and optimize trades in government and corporate fixed income securities for both TSL’s proprietary book and client portfolios. The role requires sharp market execution, risk management, and deep familiarity with Bank of Tanzania (BoT) auctions and Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE) Bond Board operations.
Key Responsibilities
Trade Execution: Execute buy/sell orders in T-Bills, T-Bonds, and corporate bonds for proprietary and client mandates.
Auction & Market Making: Participate in BoT primary dealer auctions with competitive bidding strategies; provide two-way pricing to institutional counterparties.
Yield & Analytics: Monitor yield curve movements, interest rate outlooks, and bond valuations to capture strategic trading opportunities.
Reporting & Reporting: Deliver daily market updates, yield curve commentaries, and trade summaries to internal teams and clients.
Compliance: Ensure 100% compliance with CMSA, DSE, and BoT regulatory standards while maintaining accurate trading blotters and records.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field.
Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in fixed income trading, treasury, or capital markets.
Licensing: Licensed DATS Trader with DSE (or eligible for immediate authorization).
Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of Tanzania’s government securities market, BoT auctions, and DSE Bond Board.
Languages: Fluency in English and Swahili.
ACI Dealing Certificate.
Postgraduate qualification in Finance or Economics.
SITI / CITI certification.
Advanced financial modeling skills (Excel, Bloomberg).
