Role overview
The Head of Hospitality Department (HOD) will oversee all hospitality operations, ensuring world-class guest experiences and operational excellence across ATARA hotels and residences.
Key responsibilities
- Manage daily hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage (F&B), and guest services.
- Drive occupancy growth and maximize revenue streams, including rooms, F&B, spa, gym and events.
- Implement quality assurance and service standards.
- Supervise and mentor hospitality staff.
- Collaborate with the General Manager on expansion and branding initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with hospitality regulations and ATARA’s premium standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Commerce in Tourism and Hospitality Management, Bachelor of Science in Tourism and Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- At least five years of leadership experience in hotel or resort management.
- Strong organizational and people management skills.
- Proven track record in guest satisfaction and occupancy growth.
- Knowledge of the Tanzanian hospitality market is preferred.
- Fluency in English.
