Masika Ventures is seeking a motivated Honey Sales Officer to join the Third Man Limited (Upendo Honey) team.

Third Man Limited, operating as Upendo Honey, is a Kigoma-based honey and wax processing company.

Its mission is to become a leading Tanzanian social enterprise that connects local honey producers with conscious consumers who value quality, sustainability, and social impact.

Its vision is to empower rural communities in western Tanzania to protect natural habitats and earn sustainable livelihoods through the production and sale of high-quality organic honey in global markets.

About the role

Based in Dar es Salaam, the Honey Sales Officer will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding the market presence of the company’s honey products in Dar es Salaam and surrounding regions.

The role will focus on establishing and developing various sales channels, including the Community Traders Program and accounts across hotels, restaurants, cafés, supermarkets, regional markets, and cross-border markets.

This is a field-based position that involves building strong relationships with clients and customers, identifying new market opportunities, and collaborating with internal teams to achieve sales objectives.

The ideal candidate will be solution-oriented and capable of demonstrating proactive leadership, sound commercial judgment, and independent problem-solving.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, onboard, and manage community traders.
• Achieve monthly sales objectives.
• Identify and qualify customer needs.
• Develop and grow accounts across hotels, restaurants, and cafés (HORECA), supermarkets, regional markets, and cross-border markets.
• Coordinate closely with another Operations Officer to align sales strategy and market coverage.
• Manage daily cash collections, credit control, and repayment tracking.
• Coordinate delivery schedules and distribution logistics.
• Identify and support the establishment of a strategic depot location in Kigoma.
• Monitor sales performance and adjust recruitment, pricing, or channel strategies as needed.
• Represent Third Man Limited professionally when engaging with traders, distributors, and institutional buyers.

Required qualifications and skills

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead sales presentations and close deals.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in spoken and written Swahili and English is essential.
