Job Summary:
IHI seeks a motivated and reliable ICT User Support Intern to join the ICT team at the Ifakara Branch. The intern will help manage the branch’s LAN infrastructure, monitor network devices, and ensure seamless IT operations to support the Institute’s daily activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide efficient IT support and enhance user satisfaction.
Implement internal document-sharing systems to improve security and accessibility.
Manage branch LAN infrastructure to identify and resolve network performance issues.

Facilitate software installations, updates, and user training.

IHI is seeking a Senior Research Scientist with a PhD in molecular biology, cell biology, genetics, parasitology, or vector biology. This role focuses on managing and integrating molecular and vector biology workflows within the Global T0 Project—a groundbreaking initiative to develop genetic biocontrol tools aimed at eradicating malaria transmission in Africa.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with biosafety and ethical protocols.
Execute genetic manipulations using CRISPR-Cas9 and related technologies.
Oversee DNA, RNA, and protein analyses in the lab.
Manage vector biology studies, including resistance assays and population genetics.
Supervise microinjections and gene-edited mosquito sample analyses.
Maintain QA/QC standards and laboratory equipment.
Mentor and train junior scientists and field staff.
Contribute to manuscripts, reports, and scientific presentations.
Represent IHI in workshops, conferences, and stakeholder collaborations.
