Notes or Duties:
Receive theoretical and hands-on training in statistical and analytical work related to the MSMT2 project.
Undertake hands-on training to become familiar with data generated by the MSMT2 project and data analytics supporting malaria molecular surveillance in Tanzania.
Work with the MSMT2 project team in the analysis of real-world biomedical data focusing on malaria molecular surveillance.
Undertake tailored training to develop statistical computing skills in one programming language (R, STATA, python, or SAS) used in project data analysis.
Take part in the MSMT2 mentorship programme to understand options for higher studies or careers in Biostatistics.
Participate in preprocessing and cleaning of raw data prior to statistical analysis.
Apply statistical models such as linear regression, logistic regression, and survival analysis to research questions.
Generate statistical reports and presentations for project members, collaborators, and partners.
Attend and contribute to research meetings, discussions, and journal clubs organized by the MSMT2 project.
Participate in MSMT2 project training courses focused on manuscript preparation for scientific publication.
Take part in data management activities including cleaning, processing, analyzing, and updating the existing database.
Perform any other activities or duties as determined by the Project Principal Investigator and other superiors.

Support all day-to-day administrative functions of the project.
Provide administrative and logistical support to project managers and teams.
Perform general clerical duties including photocopying, scanning, mailing, filing, making phone calls, and responding to emails.
Liaise with the Procurement Unit and follow up on project goods, service providers, utilities, and bills.
Coordinate with the Human Resources Unit on human resource matters and maintain records for project staff.
Ensure the study is conducted according to the working protocol and adheres to ICH Guidelines of Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
Maintain professional relationships with government officials in the study area.
Order project supplies for office and research activities.
Set up meetings and assist with arrangements for conferences, trainings, workshops, and work-related travel.
Ensure study sites are properly arranged and adequately supplied for daily activities.
Maintain hard copy and electronic filing systems and keep records for project activities, office space, and supplies.
Manage payment issues and perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor with professionalism, competence, accountability, and integrity.
