WE ARE HIRING AN Inventory Controller

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and results-driven Inventory Controller to join our dynamic team. This critical role is responsible for the meticulous management and control of our company’s significant asset inventory. The ideal candidate must possess strong leadership qualities, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a steadfast commitment to asset accountability.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Maintain accurate records of all company assets, movable and non-movable.
  2. Regularly monitor stock levels, forecast needs, and coordinate timely procurement to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Establish and maintain optimal par stock levels for all items, ensuring adequate supply to meet operational demands while minimizing excess inventory and storage costs.
  1. Implement and utilize inventory tracking systems to monitor asset movement, usage, damages, and disposals.
  2. Identify, investigate, and address issues of asset damage or loss. Enforce accountability among employees who damage company assets by ensuring they take responsibility and cover repair or replacement costs.
  3. Lead inventory-related activities, train staff on proper handling and usage of assets, and promote a culture of responsibility.
  • Monitor the condition of all assets, identifying items for repair, rewashing, or immediate disposal/replacement due to wear and tear or damage.
  • Prepare regular inventory reports for management, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  1. Address and resolve inventory discrepancies or issues promptly and effectively.
  2. Develop, implement, and enforce inventory control policies, emphasizing accountability and responsibility for asset care.

Qualifications and Requirements

  1. Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in inventory management, asset control, or a related field, preferably within the hospitality, hotel, or high-volume F&B environment.
  2. Strong command of modern Inventory Management Systems (IMS) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel for advanced data analysis and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, implement policies, and hold staff accountable in a professional manner. A firm, yet fair, approach to asset accountability is essential.
  1. Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate complex inventory variances and implement corrective action.
  2. Exceptional precision and accuracy in recording and reconciliation.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, necessary for reporting and training operational teams.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • A diploma or a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Accounting, or a relevant discipline is preferred.
