Position: Math & Science Tutor

Reports to: Program Coordinator
Our organization provides programs in Career Counseling, Baha’i Junior Youth Spiritual Empowerment (JYSEP), Pre-form One, and after school tutoring for secondary school students in the Msasani/Masaki/Oysterbay area of Dar es Salaam.
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Math & Science Tutor. The ideal candidate will:
– Teach math & science (physics, chemisty and biology)
– Assist in delivering the Junior Youth Program
– Model strong character and a spirit of service
– Teach math & science subjects
– Organize mock exams
– Track progress and report to coordinator
– Assist homework and revision sessions
– Study JYSEP texts and facilitate groups
– Support service projects
– Assist with program administration
– Communicate with parents
– Strong math & science education; university graduate preferred
– Tutoring/teaching experience an advantage
– Fluent in English & Kiswahili
– High integrity and reliability
– Willingness to train as a JYP animator
– Flexible for weekend sessions
