Duties and responsibilities
The Orthopedic Technologist II will be responsible for performing orthopedic technology duties under the guidance and supervision of senior staff. Key responsibilities include:
- Keeping and maintaining patients’ records.
- Making casts and taking measurements as instructed.
- Fabricating various related appliances.
- Performing fitting of patients under supervision.
- Modifying defective appliances with guidance from superior staff.
- Examining patients before undertaking treatment.
- Advising patients on how to use and maintain artificial limbs and body support devices.
- Ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures and BMH business processes.
- Performing any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Holder of a Diploma in Orthotics/Prosthetics from a recognized institution.
- Must be registered by the Medical Council of Tanganyika.
