Tosamaganga Regional Referral Hospital 
Tosamaganga Regional Referral Hospital (TRRH) was first built in 1968 as the 1st Level Health Facility by Manintesse Youth Group under supervision of Consolata Missionaries from Tulin-Italy. It was inaugurated in 1970 by the Late Mwl. Julius Kambarage Nyerere, the Father of Nation and the 1st President of the Republic of Tanganyika at that time. It underwent a steady and even milestone in time as a Faith Based Organization Hospital (FBO) and District Designated Hospital (DDH). Tosamaganga Hospital became a Referral Hospital at Regional Level on the 1st March’ 2024 and it was inaugurated on the 6th July’ 2024 by Hon. Majaliwa Kassim Majaliwa (MP) and Prime Minister of the United Republic of Tanzania. 

TRRH offers various inpatient, outpatient, normal and specialized clinic services. 

The Hospital has been of great help to the people in the southern part of the country as it serves about 5,000 – 6,400 patients per months and a total of 65,000 – 72,000 patients per year. It has emergency (EMD); Outpatient (OPD); Orthopedics, Trauma and Neurosurgery; General surgery; Internal medicine, Pediatrics; Obstetrics and Gynecology; Oral and Maxillofacial (Dental); Laboratory and Radiology departments with sub departments in them. 

• PHYSIOTHERAPIST II – (1 POST)  

REQUIREMENT AND SKILLS

1. Diploma in physiotherapy/ occupational therapist  from any recognized University/ Institution
2. Registered  with the Medical Council of Tanganyika (MCT) 
3. Valid license to practice
4. NIDA number

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES PHYSIOTHERAPIST II 

1. Diagnoses, and treats patients with physical difficulties from injuries illnesses, or chronic conditions
2. Restore movement, manage pain, and build custom exercise and therapy plans
3. Assess patient physical abilities and  history
4. Create and run custom treatment and exercise plans
5.  Use hands-on techniques like joint manipulation and massage
6. Teach home exercises and injury prevention strategies
7. Track patient progress and update medical notes
8. Work with doctors and other medical staff
