Duties and responsibilities

The Research Officer II (Archaeology) will be responsible for supporting and carrying out research activities, including fieldwork, data management, reporting, and project planning. The duties and responsibilities include:

• Performing field data collection, computer data entry, data analysis, and gathering relevant literature.
• Undertaking specific research activities with less supervision from senior researchers or the team leader.
• Preparing and submitting manuscript drafts according to respective work plans.
• Training and supervising technicians.
• Preparing research progress reports according to the respective work plan.
• Assisting in the planning of specific research projects.
• Assisting in preparing fundable research proposals and consultancy assignments.
• Performing any other official duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Applicants must hold both a Master’s Degree and Bachelor’s Degree in Archaeology from a recognized institution.

Applicants must also have scored at least an Upper Second Class or an overall minimum pass of grade B+ for an unclassified Bachelor’s Degree.
