Duties and responsibilities

The Research Officer II (Ethnology) will be responsible for carrying out research-related activities in the field of ethnology and cultural heritage. The duties and responsibilities include:

• Performing field data collection, computer data entry, data analysis, and gathering relevant literature.
• Undertaking specific research activities with less supervision from senior researchers or the team leader.
• Preparing and submitting manuscript drafts according to respective work plans.
• Training and supervising technicians.
• Preparing research progress reports according to the respective work plan.
• Assisting in the planning of specific research projects.
• Assisting in preparing fundable research proposals and consultancy assignments.
• Performing any other official duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Applicants must hold a Master’s Degree in Ethnology or Cultural Heritage from a recognized institution.

In addition, applicants must have scored at least an Upper Second Class or an overall minimum pass of grade B+ for an unclassified Bachelor’s Degree.
