St. Constantine’s International School (SCIS) was founded in 1951 and is the oldest international school in Tanzania, as well as the largest international school in northern Tanzania. We are a not-for-profit, non-denominational, co-educational, day and boarding, international school. We are predominantly a Cambridge International School, following the EYFS programme in Early Years and then the Cambridge International Programme from Years 1 to 9. In Years 10 and 11, students study the Cambridge IGCSEs and, in Years 12 and 13, they mainly study the Cambridge A-level programme. We are also proud members of Round Square.
Role Reports to: Head of Secondary
The Secondary Cover Supervisor will provide high-quality cover for absent teachers across various subjects and year groups (Key Stages 3–5). The ideal candidate will confidently manage classrooms, deliver pre-prepared lessons, and maintain a positive learning environment in the absence of the regular teacher. They will facilitate learning by establishing a relationship with pupils and by their organization of learning resources and the classroom learning environment.
The Secondary Cover Supervisor will develop and foster the appropriate skills and social abilities to enable the optimum development of children, according to age, ability and aptitude.
