Senior Earthworks Supervisor Vacancy

Position: Senior Earthworks Supervisor (1 position)

Reports to: Earthworks Manager

Contract Duration: Six (6) Months

The Senior Earthworks Supervisor is responsible and accountable for providing leadership, supervision and project management in all phases of structural, earthworks and road construction for Nyanzaga project. Senior Earthworks Supervisor is responsible for managing and coordinating all key elements of projects in a safe and profitable manner.

The supervisor will oversee earthworks: labour, contractors, equipment and materials and subcontractors.

The supervisor will oversee earthmoving equipment, ensuring strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) procedures and alignment with the company’s TICA values.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Adhere to and promote safety, environmental, health, and community policies.
• Conduct daily and weekly safety assessments (Field Level Risk Assessments, Job Hazard Analyses, and Toolbox meetings).
• Supervise earthworks teams and ensure adherence to the Company Code of Conduct, standards, and procedures.
• Effectively allocate labour, equipment, materials and subcontractors to maximize safety and profitability and to minimize costs and Deficiencies.
• Communicate scope of work requirements to foremen, review production, quality and contract compliance and ensure implementation within the budget.

Qualification/Experience

• Technician Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering
• TSF construction experience
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in similar roles, 10 years’ experience in mining industry in Tanzania
• Driver’s license (LV and preferably HME)
