We are seeking a seasoned Site Engineer with a specialized background in large-scale infrastructure and aviation projects. This role is pivotal in overseeing the daily operations of our construction sites, ensuring that all engineering standards, safety protocols, and project timelines are met with precision.
The ideal candidate will combine technical mastery in civil engineering with the leadership skills necessary to manage diverse teams and complex logistics in a high-stakes airport environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Supervision: Manage and oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring work is carried out according to architectural drawings, structural specifications, and international aviation standards.
- Works Management: Coordinate subcontractors, site labor, and plant equipment to maintain peak operational efficiency and meet aggressive deadlines.
- Quality Control: Implement rigorous quality assurance procedures to ensure materials and workmanship meet project requirements and regulatory codes.
- Safety Leadership: Enforce strict Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) protocols, particularly regarding the unique safety challenges of active or brownfield airport sites.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Resolve complex engineering issues on-site, providing practical solutions that align with the project’s structural integrity and budget.
- Reporting: Maintain detailed site diaries, progress reports, and “as-built” documentation to provide stakeholders with transparent updates.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- A Bachelor’s Degree (B.Eng or B.Sc) in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution. Professional licensure or chartership is highly preferred.
- A minimum of 12 years of cumulative experience in civil engineering and construction management.
- Experience serving as a Site Engineer on at least one airport construction project within the last 10 years.
- Strong command of project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and CAD tools.
- Deep understanding of ICAO/FAA standards or local aviation authority regulations regarding airport construction.
