01. Principal Business Development Officer II (Government and Stakeholder Relations)
One Position – Dodoma
Job Profile: Reporting to the Zonal Manager, the Principal Business Development Officer II is responsible for driving zonal business growth, overseeing business operations, and safeguarding portfolio quality and principal financial performance. The role ensures alignment of zonal initiatives with the bank’s strategic objectives, project implementation, and the highest standards of integrity in delivering sustainable, sound judgment, and impactful results. The Officer leads business stakeholder development engagement within the Zone, building and managing high-level relationships with government institutions, regulators, private sector actors, and development partners to unlock financing opportunities and strengthen institutional presence.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Business Development Management
- Monitor the implementation of policies, procedures, activities, and decisions in respective zone.
- Provide technical support to developmental activities and clients.
- Participate in monitoring and evaluating on-going and completed projects.
- Seek and evaluate monitoring business opportunities in respective zone.
- Monitor the implementation of loan/credit and related policies, processes and procedures.
- Ensure applications for loan/credit are reviewed and approved.
- Control overdrafts relating to development projects financing and development activities.
- Develop and implement zone work plans for the zone.
- Ensure adequate work plans to ensure development activities are adequately made in respective zone.
- Develop and implement zone work plans for corporate and clients.
- Maintain good working relationships with other divisions, departments and units as well as external stakeholders.
- Strategic Stakeholder Management
- Build, manage, and deepen strategic government relationships, regulatory, and Ministries.
- Develop and operationalize a structured stakeholder engagement management.
- Government and Strategic Institutional Partnerships
- Identify and originate strategic interventions, particularly agriculture, social sectors, and inclusive growth priority sectors.
- Facilitate coordination and synergies among value chain actors to enhance productivity, competitiveness, and financial inclusion.
- Oversee implementation and monitoring of strategic engagement programs within the Zone.
- Public Engagement and Brand Visibility
- Represent the bank in strategic public engagements, conferences, industry forums, events, and policy roundtables.
- Enhance brand visibility and stakeholder confidence in the Zone.
- Strengthen strategic communications with key partners and ecosystem players.
Core Competencies and Skills
- High-level experience working with financial institutions, agribusiness projects, or donor-funded programs.
- Proven knowledge of agriculture value chains (crops, livestock, fisheries, etc.), indicators, risk assessment, and performance use of M&E or MIS tools and dashboards.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
- High level of integrity, adaptability, and commitment to our mission as a development finance institution.
- Solid analytical and financial modelling skills to support credit and investment decision-making.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across high-level teams in a dynamic environment.
- Experience working with financial institutions, agribusiness projects, donor-funded programs will be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of project economics, finance, accounts, banking, and agricultural development.
Qualifications and Experience
- Holder of bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields: Economics, Business Administration, Agricultural Economics, Finance, Accounts or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Experience of at least seven (7) years in credit, portfolio management, business development, or agricultural development.
02. Senior Business Development Officer II (Portfolio Monitoring)
One Position – Dar es Salaam
Job Profile: The Senior Business Development Officer II (Portfolio Monitoring) provides critical oversight and performance management for the Bank’s financed projects across the agriculture, livestock, and fisheries sectors. By ensuring compliance with lending policies, proactive portfolio data analysis, high-quality reporting that drives strategic decision-making, and collaboration with internal and external partners, the Officer is essential to safeguarding the Bank’s investments and maximizing developmental impact.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct regular portfolio performance reviews and generate dashboards, field visits to analyze value chains.
- Analyze performance trends, key risks, and early warning signals and reports.
- Lead tracking, monitoring, and evaluation of financed projects interventions across the lending portfolio.
- Collaborate with Credit, Risk, and Zonal teams to resolve implementation challenges, credit risk issues, and underperformance.
- Prepare quarterly and annual portfolio performance reports capturing KPIs, ESG compliance, risk ratings, project status.
- Support due diligence, risk project structuring, and restructuring processes.
- Identify emerging risks, safeguard portfolio compliance gaps, and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Drive initiatives to safeguard risks and compliance with the Bank’s strategic objectives and DFI mandate.
Qualifications and Experience
- Holder of bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields: Economics, Business Administration, Agricultural Economics, Finance, Accounts, Banking, or related discipline from a recognized institution.
- At least seven (7) years of relevant experience in portfolio monitoring, credit analysis, or agricultural finance.
03. Senior Finance Management Officer II (Fixed Income & Foreign Exchange Trader)
One Position – Dar es Salaam
Job Profile: To manage and execute the Bank’s fixed income and foreign exchange trading activities by optimizing investment returns, managing liquidity, and mitigating market risks in line with approved treasury policies, regulatory requirements, and the Bank’s overall financial strategy.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive bank’s revenue by actively trading interest rate exchange and fixed income products.
- Execute trades (spot, forwards, swaps) in line with approved internal and regulatory limits.
- Monitor market trends, interest rates, yield curves, and FX trends to identify trading and hedging opportunities.
- Maintain relationships with the bank’s counterparties, brokers, and correspondent banks.
- Provide market insights and reports to management, new products, currencies, or trading systems.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- Professional qualifications (e.g., ACI Dealing Certificate).
- At least 3 years relevant experience in fixed income and FX trading, preferably in a banking or financial institution.
- Strong understanding of treasury products, financial markets, and trading practices.
04. Public Relations Officer II
One Position – Dar es Salaam
Job Profile: Manager of Marketing, Customer Service, and Corporate Affairs to enhance and safeguard the Bank’s corporate image by managing public communications, media relations, stakeholder engagement, in alignment with the Bank’s strategic public objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Participate in creating, maintaining, improving, and changing public perception on the Bank.
- Prepare information for events and developments within and outside the Bank to the public.
- Participate in preparing public relations strategies, plans, and budgets.
- Participate in preparing communication strategy and framework.
- Work with promotion and sensitizing the rural communities on sanitation and hygiene education and awareness.
- Prepare and produce Annual Communication Plans and disseminate brochures, articles, and newsletters to the Public.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual performance reports.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

05. ICT Officer II
One Position – Dar es Salaam
Job Profile: To support business availability, stability, security, and effective use of enterprise systems, Core Banking System, and ICT infrastructure by providing operational support, system administration, monitoring, incident resolution, and core assistance in line with Tanzania Agricultural Development Bank (TADB) business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide first- and second-level support for end-to-end Banking System and related enterprise applications.
- Monitor daily system operations, batch jobs, end-of-day processes.
- Support user system operations for enterprise systems and core banking.
- Assist in system configuration, parameter setup, and maintenance.
- Participate in system upgrades, patches, releases, and testing activities.
- Support enterprise systems integrity, backups, reconciliations.
- Investigate and resolve system incidents and service requests.
- Maintain access controls, passwords, policies, and user guides.
- Support implementation of system changes in line with approved upgrades.
- Maintain accurate ICT operations documentation.

06. Business Development Officer
One Position – Mtwara
Job Profile: Reports to the Zonal Manager, the Business Development Officer is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing new business relationships for the bank within the zone.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Achieve new business annual disbursement target in line with approved annual budget priorities.
- Generate regular market appraisal standards of bankable credit proposals.
- Maintain portfolio quality within the bank’s approved NPL threshold.
- Ensure timely credit submissions are complete, accurate, and assigned.
- Conduct structured market and sector analysis.
- Build and formalize relationships with credit and monitoring business leads.
- Contribute to preparation and execution of zonal business plan and budget.
- Submit regular progress and performance-aligned reports.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
- University Graduate in Economics, Finance, Accounts, Banking, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Three (3) years of experience in areas where the bank can be more effective.
- Ability to evaluate credit proposals.
- Experience in interpreting financial statements.
- Sales opportunities that underline these areas.
