                                                                                                      Tobacco Processing Operator

What this position is about – Purpose:
Tobacco process activities through machinery operation, ensuring the quality of produced product, maintaining good condition of machinery and house keeping in accordance to standard established by the organization. The incumbent must have knoweledge and skills to operate Blending Line, CRES Line, Lamina Line, CFT Bin filling station, Maker CFT feeders, C48 filling statoin and must illustrate proficiency in operating forklift in shopfloor with limited space.

 What will you do:

• Responsible to operate Lamina in-feed line, CFT bin filling station, CFT maker feeders by use of forklift while ensuring maintenance of quality of produced product according to the provided standard operating procedures and instructions given by the supervisor.
•  Inspect and clean all tobacco process line before starting line operation, clean the tobacco process line after dark fired blend before starting a light grade blend and implement thorough process line cleaning at the end of the production day as per machines cleaning work instructions and procedures.
•  Enhance safe working enviroment. Maintain safety at work and during operating the machine which includes having on proper safety gear for self and crew during cleaning process.
• Implement effective house keeping at his/her working area throughout the production shift through proper shopfloor cleaning and arrangement of working tools
• Effectively communicate with the Tobacco Processing Lead / other team members with regards to ensuring smooth process operation of downstream and upstream work centers.

Who are we looking for:

• University Degree in Engineering or its equivalent.
• Understanding of English and Swahili.
• 2 years’ experience of working in a Tobacco process environment.
• Basic computer knowledge
• Proficiency to operate Lamina Conditioning / casing and Stem conditioning work centers.
