Tanzania Early Childhood Development Network (TECDEN) is a national umbrella network of Early Childhood Development (ECD) Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) working to promote Early Childhood Development in Tanzania by influencing change in policies, programmes and practices. Our work aims to impact the children holistic development, inspired by a vision that the rights and needs of all infants and young children must be realised to survive, grow, and develop to their full potential. TECDEN in partnership with Children in Crossfire (CiC) has recently secured funding from the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation to deliver a three years project from 2022 to 2024 to catalyse the implementation of the recently launched National Multisectoral ECD Programme (NM-ECDP) across national and sub-national levels.

The Mtoto Kwanza Project will be implemented in partnership between TECDEN, CiC, and the Union of Tanzania Press Clubs (UTPC) across all 26 regions in two phases. Phase I will compose of 10 regions that is Dodoma, Dar Es Salaam, Morogoro, Mbeya, Tabora, Kagera, Arusha, Manyara, Rukwa and Lindi. Currently TECDEN is looking for one focal CSO from each mentioned region above to support project implementation. The interested CSOs from these regions are invited to apply by downloading Call for Application and Application Form at: https://www tecden.or.tz/ (News and Resources).

The interested Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) should send a filled Application Form to TECDEN through: [email protected] indicating in the subject line: “Name of the Region — CSO Application”. All application documents should be in a single pdf format.

Only those CSOs shortlisted will be selected for interview and organization capacity assessment.

The closing time for receipts of applications is 23:00hrs on Sunday 10th April 2022, local time in Tanzania.
