CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR POTENTIAL ENGAGEMENT OPPORTUNITIES WITH WHO IN TANZANIA

World Health Organization (WHO) Country Office in Tanzania launched its current Country Cooperation Strategy(CCS), for 2022-27 for the United Republic of Tanzania in April 2022. The CCS is WHO’s corporate framework strategy developed in response to the country’s needs and priorities in line with the WHO’s Thirteenth General Programme of Work, 2019-2023. In order to accomplish the current Country Cooperation Strategy highlights four priority areas; – (listed below),

  1. Strengthen health systems to ensure universal access to quality reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health (RMNCAH)and other essential health services.
  2. Protect communities against emergencies of infectious diseases and other public health events.
  3. Reduce/control exposure of individuals to risk factors that threaten their health and well – being.
  4. Improve efficiencies in the health sector through better, equitable health governance, leadership and accountability.

WHO Country Office in Tanzania seeks to forge partnerships with other organizations in achieving its goals and strategic priorities. Legally registered Non-Governmental Organizations in Tanzania, universities, research institutes, information dissemination service providers and community groups are invited to participate in this expression of interest. The interested applicants are required to fulfill the eligibility requirements and should submit their application for consideration, no later than by; 4.00 PM East Africa Time, 5th January 2023.
