SOCIAL ACTION TRUST FUND (SATF)

CALL FOR SUBMISSION OF CONCEPT NOTE

Social Action Trust Fund (SATF).is a Trust dedicated to supporting Most Vulnerable Children (MVC) in Education, Health, Nutrition, Psychosocial support and Sexual Reproduction Health with the aim of transforming the target group to become productive members of the society. Additionally, the Trust provides community empowerment projects to the support areas Community, to alleviate poverty. SATF collaborates with grassroots organizations to reach out the needy beneficiaries.

1.0 Project coverage:

To achieve its objective above, SATF is now inviting Concept Notes from the registered and active grassroots organizations to implement its programs for financial year 2020 and 2021 from the from the following Districts ; Nyakato, Nyamagana & Sengerema (Mwanza region); Arumeru and Arusha Town Council(Arusha region), Morogoro Rural & Morogoro Municipal (Morogoro region); Dodoma Municipal, Chamwino and Kondoa (Dodoma region): Muleba, Karagwe and Bukoba rural (Kagera region); Njombe Town Council, Wang’ingombe & Makambako(Njombe region);Nachingwea, Lindi Rural and Lindi Urban(Lindi region); Mtwara Town Council(Mtwara region); Mkuranga (Coast region); and Kahama (Shinyanga region). The interventions will focus on increasing access to basic services for Most Vulnerable Children.

2.0 Who is eligible to apply?

The call for Concept Note is open to Grassroots organizations, located in the respective Districts.

3.0 Contents of Concept Note

Submit details of your organization, including; Organization name; Year of establishment; Year of registration; Registration Number; previous and current donors; previous and current projects/programs with focus on children and/or MVC- centred programs/projects; organization contacts and number of staffs; Type of the project proposed and amount of funds requested; Magnitude of MVC problem in your area, supported with evidence; Broad program/ project objective; Brief description of desired activities and outcomes; What is unique about your program/ project (innovation); Monitoring plan; Evidence of past and current experience in working with Local Government Authorities and other key stakeholders in supporting the MVC. Size of the Concept Note should be 3-5 pages, to be submitted electronically.

4.0 How will the Concept Note be evaluated?

Concept Notes will be evaluated against how closely it will contribute towards SATF objectives. An independent committee will exercise objectivity and fairness and will accept or reject an applicant based on the rigorous internal evaluation process. Only successful applicants will be contacted to submit full proposals. Hence there will be no appeal process.

5.0 When Is the deadline for submission?

Your Concept Note should reach us by 19th September 2019 at 4.30 pm. Concept Notes received after this time will not be processed.
