FOR

CONSTRUCTION OF TWO WATER SUPPLY SCHEMES IN TWO DROUGHT
PRONE VILLAGES (MAKUYUNI AND JIPE) IN MWANGA DISTRICT.

INVITATION FOR TENDERS Date: 31 JAN, 2020

1. The United Republic of Tanzania has received Financing from the African Development Bank in various currencies towards the cost of Construction of two water supply schemes in two drought prone villages (Makuyuni and Jipe) of Mwanga district. It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for of Construction of two water supply schemes in two drought prone villages (Makuyuni and Jipe) 2019/2020.
2. The Vice President Office now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply of execution of the works
    Excavate, lay pipes in trenches and backfilling for transmission and distribution
   mains with total length of 14.7Kilometres
    Supply and installing pipes, valves, fittings and specials.
    Construction of two (2) storage tanks on ground of 50 m3
   and 45m3 at two villages.
    Construction of 12 domestic points.
3. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents at the office of the Secretary of the Tender Board Tender Board Secretary Mwanga District Council P.O.Box 176 Mwanga-Kilimanjaro from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm Local time Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.
4. A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of TZS 100,000.00 (One Hundred Thousand Tanzania Shillings). Payment should either be by Cash, Banker’s Draft, or Banker’s Cheque, payable to District Executive Director, P.O. Box 176 Mwanga -Kilimanjaro.
5. The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract are the provisions of the African Development Bank Standard Bidding Document: Procurement of Goods or Procurement of Works.
6. Bids must be delivered to the above office on or before 3:30 pm local Time on Friday, February 28, 2020 and must be accompanied by a Bid security guarantee of TZS 2,000,000.00 (Two Million Tanzania Shillings Only).
7. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 11:00 am Local times on Friday, February 28, 2020 at the Mwanga District Council Conference Hall.
8. Late Tenders, portion of Tenders, electronic Tenders, Tenders not received, Tenders not opened at the Tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
