- Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) on behalf of Ministry of Works and Transport
now invites Pre-Qualification Applications from interested companies or consortia (“Applicant”) to be qualified to bid on a PPP Project to Design, Build, Finance, Operate (including Maintenance) and Transfer a new Toll Road from Kibaha to Chalinze Section (the “Project”), being the Lot of the whole Kibaha to Morogoro Network, Tender No. AE/001/2022-23/HQ/W/55 - It is currently envisaged that the concession term will be for a period of approximately 30 years and the Project will be implemented on a Design, Build, Finance, Operate (including maintenance) and Transfer basis. The Project (including the ownership of the Project related assets) shall be handed over to the of Tanzania at the conclusion of the operational period. The concession contract for this Project will be awarded through a competitive bidding process open to both local and international pre-qualified applicants.
- The following pre-qualification procedure will be adopted:
3.1. A project description which gives the Applicants an overview of the Project is provided in
Section 6 of the Request for Qualification (RFQ) document.
3.2. Interested Applicants may obtain further information and inspect the RFQ document at the office of The Secretary, TANROADS HQ Tender Board, 2nd Floor, 10 Shaaban Robert
Road/Garden Avenue Junction, P.O. Box 11364, Dares Salaam, Tanzania during office hours
between 08:00 a.m. and 04:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday inclusive, except on public holidays.
3.3 The RFQ document may be collected by interested Applicants at the office of The Secretary, TANROADS Headquarters Tender Board 2nd Floor, Room No. 44, 10 Shaaban Robert
Road/Garden Avenue Junction, P.O. Box 11364 Dar es Salaam or be accessed through
TANROADS Website: www.tanroads.go.tz.
3.4. Following the submission of the Pre-qualification Applications, interested companies or
consortia will be evaluated on the requirements and criteria set forth in the RFQ document. - The submission deadline of Applications will be on 18th April 2023 at or before 10:00 Hours local time.
- Application for Pre-Qualification (AFQ) in One (1) original plus three (3) copies, and One (1) electronic copy properly filled in and enclosed in a plain envelope, clearly marked “APPLICATION FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION FOR DESIGN, BUILD, FINANCE, OPERATE, MAINTAIN AND TRANSFER OF THE KIBAHA-MOROGORO EXPRESSWAY (205KM) UNDER THE PPP ARRANGEMENT; LOT 1: KIBAHACHALINZE SECTION (78.9 KM); TENDER NO. AE/001/2022-23/HQ/W/55” must be delivered to:
