- Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) on behalf of Ministry of Works and Transport
invites Pre-Qualification applications from interested companies or consortia (“Applicant”) to be prequalified for PPP Project to Design, Build, Finance, Operate, ntain and Transfer a new Toll Road from Kibaha Chalinze tion (the “Project”), being the Lot 1 of the whole Kibaha to Morogoro road, Tender No. AE/001/2022-23/HQ/W/55. - It is currently envisaged that the concession term will be for a period of approximately 30 years and the Project will be implemented on a Design, Build, Finance, Operate, Maintain and Transfer basis. The Project (including the ownership of the Project related assets) shall be handed over to the Government of Tanzania at the conclusion of the operation and maintenance period. The concession contract for this Project will be awarded through a competitive bidding process open to both local and international pre-qualified applicants.
- Interested Applicants may obtain further information and inspect the RFQ document at the office of The Secretary, TANROADS HQ Tender Board, 2nd Floor, 10 Shaaban Robert Road/Garden Avenue Junction, P.O. Box 11364, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania during office hours between 08:00 a.m. and 04:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday inclusive, except on public holidays.
- The RFQ document may be collected by interested Applicants at the office of The Secretary,
TANROADS Headquarters Tender Board, 2nd Floor, Room No. 44, 10 Shaaban Robert
Road/Garden Avenue Junction, P.O. Box 11364 Dar es Salaam or be accessed through
TANROADS Website: www.tanroads.go.tz . - Following the submission of the Pre-qualification Applications, interested companies or
consortia will be evaluated on the requirements and criteria set forth in the RFQ document. A
project description which gives the Applicants an overview of the Project is provided in Section 6 of the Request for Qualification (RFQ) document - The submission deadline of Applications will be at or before 10:00 hours local time on 18th
April 2023. - Application for Pre-Qualification in One (1) original plus three (3) copies, and One (1) electronic copy properly filled in and enclosed in a plain envelope, clearly marked “APPLICATION FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION FOR DESIGN, BUILD, FINANCE, OPERATE, MAINTAIN AND TRANSFER OF THE KIBAHA-MOROGORO EXPRESSWAY (205KM) UNDER PPP
ARRANGEMENT: LOT 1: KIBAHA-CHALINZE SECTION (78.9 KM); TENDER NO. AE/001/2022- 23/HQ/W/55″ should be delivered to:

hours local time at the offices of the Regional Manager, TANROADS, Coast Region. The visit will commence at the Regional Manager’s Office
