The United Republic of Tanzania has received financing from the African Development Bank
(AfDB) toward the cost of the Tanzania Agricultural Inputs Support Project (TAISP) and intends to apply part of the agreed amount of this fund to payments under the contract for Consultancy Services for undertaking Detailed Design, preparation of tender documents, cost estimate and Construction of three Warehouses for seed storage at TARI Ilonga, TARI Selian and Arusha Seed Farms.
The service included under this assignment is to undertake Detailed Engineering Design for the preparation of Construction Drawings, Technical Specifications, Bill of Quantity (BOQ), Cost
Estimates, Construction Plan, Time Schedule, provide construction supervision support to the
client and prepare all other associated design documents and prepare documents required for
obtaining requisite approvals from concerned authorities etc.
The Ministry of Agriculture now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in
providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may constitute joint ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.
Eligibility criteria, the establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in
accordance with the African Development Bank’s Procurement Policy Framework, dated October 2015, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org
The consultant will be selected in accordance with the Consultant Qualification Selection
Procedures (CQS) stipulated with the African Development Bank’s Procurement Policy
Framework.
