CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR UNDERTAKING DETAILED ENGINEERINGDESIGN, PREPARATION OF TENDER DOCUMENTS, COST ESTIMATE ANDINSTALLATION SUPERVISION FOR THE SELF-PROPELLED CENTRE PIVOTIRRIGATION SYSTEMS IN 100 HA FARM EACH AT ASA (MSIMBA, MBOZIAND ARUSHA SEED FARMS) AND TARI (ILONGA AND SELIAN)

1. The United Republic of Tanzania has received funds from the African Development Bank
   (AfDB) to finance the Tanzania Agricultural Inputs Support Project (TAISP). The parties have
   agreed to reallocate the amount of this fund to payments under the contract for Consultancy
   Services for undertaking detailed engineering design, preparation of the tender document,
   cost estimates and installation supervision of the Self-propelled Centre Pivot Irrigation Systems in three ASA Farms at Msimba, Mbozi and Arusha and two TARI Farms at llonga and Selian.
2. The service included under this assignment is to undertake a feasibility study for the installation of the center pivot irrigation system; undertake the required studies and surveys to inform the designer of the irrigation system; prepare the designs for the irrigation system, using the information produced through surveys and studies as reviewed and accepted by the client; Prepare the bidding documents for installation of the irrigation system and support in the selection of a suitable contractor ensure that the irrigation system is constructed in accordance with the approved designs and specifications.
3. The Ministry of Agriculture now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in
   providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may constitute joint ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.
4. Eligibility criteria, the establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in
   accordance with the African Development Bank’s Procurement Policy Framework, dated October 2015, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org .
5. The consultant will be selected in accordance with the Consultant Qualification Selection
   Procedures (CQS) as stipulated in the African Development Bank’s Procurement Policy
   Framework.
