This invitation for Expression of Interest (EoI) follows the General Procurement Notice for the South West Indian Ocean Fisheries Governance and Shared Growth program – SWIOFish that was published in the Development Business, issue No. WB 4892 of October, 2015.
The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has received a Credit from the International Development Association (IDA) towards the cost of the South West Indian Ocean Fisheries Governance and Shared Growth [SWIOFish]Program and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services
The consulting services (“the Services”) include
Provide technical advice and guidance on the viable scope, key components and layout of the proposed National Mariculture Resource Centre, and then to undertake detailed design for the agreed-upon layout, including preparation of detailed design drawings with corresponding description of functional capacity, environmental and social impact assessment, bills of quantity (BoQs), estimated budget and bidding documents.
The shortlisting criteria are: The Consulting firm shall have extensive experience in the field of design of mariculture centers, hatcheries, or similar types of infrastructure. The firm must have completed at least three similar projects in the past ten years. Experience in designing facilities in tropical climates is a must
and availability of appropriate skills among staff.
The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to paragraph 1.9 of the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers; January 2011 revised July,2014 (“Consultant Guidelines”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.
Consultants may associate with other firms in the form of a joint venture or a sub-consultancy to enhance their qualification.
A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the Consultant Qualification Selection [CQS] method set out in the Consultant Guidelines.
