  1. This invitation for expression of interest follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) which appeared in TANePS Issue no. N/A dated 19/06/2021.
  2. The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has set aside funds for the operation of the Dar es Salaam Water and Sewerage Authority during the financial year 2021-2022. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract for the Provision of project Management Consultancy services for construction of Kidunda Dam Project.
  3. The Dar es Salaam Water and Sewerage Authority now invites eligible Firms to indicate their interest in providing the services which include Provision of Project Management Consultancy and Supervision services for construction of Kidunda Dam Project- scope includes: Construction of a rock fill and bitumen faced dam structure, with embankment of length about 870m and height 21m, spillway, inspection gallery, and internal roads at dam and camp site, and associated civil structures. The reservoir’s storage capacity is estimated to be 190 mil.m3 and has been designed to last for at least 30 years before first dredging at maximum flood level (95 masl).Construction of hydropower plant with capacity of producing 20MW/h of electricity. Construction of 75km of access road at gravel level from Ngerengere Township to the dam site in Kidunda Village and Construction of about 101km of power transmission main from the Kidunda dam site to the national electricity grid at Chalinze station.T he duration of the assignment is estimated to be 48 months, including 12 months of DLP.
  4. Interested Firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services by submitting consultant’s profile, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc. Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.
  5. A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the Public Procurement Act No. 7 of 2011 and the Public Procurement Regulations, 2013 – Government Notice No. 446 (hereinafter called Procurement Regulations).
  6. Selection will be conducted through the Quality and Cost based selection procedures specified in the Public Procurement Regulations.

  8. Expressions of Interest (EoI) must be electronically submitted in the proper format, at or before 10/03/2022, 14:00
  9. Late Expressions of Interest shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
