Position : Environmental, Health, Safety and
Security (EHSS) & Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Manager

Maurel & Prom is an oïl and gas exploration and production company listed on the regulated
market of Euronext Paris specialising in the production of hydrocarbons. It manages corporate,
environmental and social risks. Within Tanzania, the Mnazi Bay & Msimbati gas fields have been
onstream and continuously producing since 2006 making Mnazi Bay a significant contributor to
the gas supply for power in Tanzania.

Maurel & Prom Exploration Production (T) Ltd. is seeking
to recruit a dynamic and result oriented person to fill the role of Environmental, Health, Safety and
Security (EHSS) & Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Manager reporting to General
Manager.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
 Must possess a tertiary education in related fields including environmental science,
occupational safety and health, environmental / mechanical / electrical / petroleum / chemical
engineering.
 Must possess a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in occupational safety and health setting.
 Must have a thorough understanding of environmental regulations, safety protocols, and
industry best practices and standards.
 Should be well-versed in conducting risk assessments, developing and implementing safety
programs, and managing hazardous materials. Possess knowledge of environmental impact
assessments, waste management, and emergency response procedures is also essential.
 Possession of HSE certification is an added advantage.
 Ability to use both English and Kiswahili as working languages;
 Knowledge of office applications is essential.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

A. EHSS MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES
 Create and manage safety policies, procedures, and guidelines;
 Reporting, setting and challenging EHSS KPIs and Objectives;
 Develop, implement, and supervise a safety strategy in line with the company’s safety
objectives;
 Liaise with Group Headquarters to apply corporate policies, initiatives and actions
 Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and security National and International
regulations in all work sites;
 Conduct risk assessments on procedures, implement measures to mitigate risks and set up Job
Safety Analysis prior to operations to be communicated thru Tool Box Talks;
 Carry EHSS inspections and ensure of other departments inspections;
 Conduct internal audits base on Company and Group systems;
 Conduct external audits on contractors;
 Is the referent of Group HQ for the ISO 14001 & 45001 certification, and follow up with
required processes;
 Organize EHSS trainings and orientations based on the matrix or operational needs;
 Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to foster a safety culture;

 Report and investigate incidents and accidents, and implement corrective actions;
 Plan, Coordinate and execute emergency response plans and drills;
 Follow up Safety Observation Card system, and monitor correctives actions;
 Manage EHSS inventories;
 Develop and monitor the budget for the EHSS department;
 Serve as a liaison between the regional security committee and the company;
 Coordinate security contractor for worksites;

B. CSR MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES
 Internal and external communication of the company’s CSR initiatives;
 Cultivate relationships with local communities, NGOs, and government agencies;
 Manage CSR officer as a liaison between the local community, government, and all
stakeholders on CSR matters;
 Coordinate community engagement programs and corporate social responsibility projects;
 Design policies and programs to align with the company’s social and environmental objectives;
 Compilation and preparation of CSR reports;
 Preparation and implementation of CSR budget;
 Work with stakeholders to execute sustainable practices;
 Monitor and assess CSR issues, impact, and analysis;
 Ensure adherence to local regulations and international standards.
 Perform any other duty as being assigned by line Management.
