Invitation for Tenders

Date: September, 2020

1. The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has set aside funds for the operation of the Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited (TANESCO) during the financial year 2019/20. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract for Execution of the Remaining Construction Works Including Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of the Natural Gas Based 185MW Power Plant Project-Kinyerezi I Extension;
2. TANESCO now invites your Tender for Execution of the Remaining Construction Works Including Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of the Natural Gas Based 185MW Power Plant Project-Kinyerezi I Extension. The detail of Scope of Works is provided in Employer’s Requirements;

3.Tendering will be conducted through International Competitive Tendering procedures specified in the Public Procurement Regulations, 2013 –Government Notice No. 446 as amended in 2016 and you may obtain further information of the Tendering Documents online through TANePS (www.taneps.go.tz);

4.All Tenders must be accompanied by original tender security of USD 900,000.00 (United States Dollars Nine Hundred Thousand Only) in the form of Bank Guarantee from reputable commercial bank and counter guaranteed by reputable local commercial Bank -for (International Bank) and shall be valid up to Twenty-
Eight (28) days from expiration of Tender validity period. The original Bid Security shall be submitted separately physically to the Secretary Tender Board, TANESCO, Umeme Park Building, Morogoro Road –Ubungo Area, Dar es Salaam.

5.Tender must be electronically submitted online through TANePS in the proper format, at or before 28thSeptember, 2020, 14:00hrs East African Time. Tender will be opened promptly thereafter online through TANePS.

6.Portion of Tender and tender not received through TANEPS shall not be accepted for evaluation.
