Expression of Interest

- This invitation for expression of interest follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN)which appeared in TANEPS Issue no. 4/12/2019 dated 04/12/2019.
- The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has set aside funds for the operation of the Gas Company Tanzania Limited during the financial year 2019/20. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract for the Consultancy Services for conducting pipeline environmental Audit – Gas Pipeline.
- The Gas Company Tanzania Limited now invites eligible Firms to indicate their interesting providing the services which include Facilitation of the registration of the project with NEMC, Determine the scope of the investigation by setting boundaries of the study and identification of potentially significant environmental impacts; Assess the social impact to present population near Songosongo and Madimba processing plants and the impacts of the project on their way of life; Assess the social impact to present population along the pipeline routes and the impacts of the project on their way of life; Review the results by submitting environmental audit report to National Environmental Management Council(NEMC) to be reviewed by a cross – sectoral Technical Advisory Committee (TAC);Incorporation of the TAC comments by making corrections and improvements of the environmental audit draft report according to the comments and recommendations raised; Asses the right of way and third party risk along the pipeline route
- Interested Firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services by submitting consultant’s profile, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc. Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.
- A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the Public Procurement Act No. 7 of 2011 and the Public Procurement Regulations, 2013 – Government Notice No. 446 (hereinafter called Procurement Regulations).
- Selection will be conducted through the Quality and Cost based selection procedures specified in the Public Procurement Regulations.
- Interested eligible consultants may obtain further information from the office of the Gas Company (Tanzania) Limited, Plot No.1 Block D, Kibaga Street, Kinyerezi Gas Receiving Station, P.O. Box 714, Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania, [email protected] from 09:00-15:30on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.
- Expressions of Interest (EoI) must be electronically submitted in the proper format, at or before 24/06/2020, 11:0011. Late Expressions of Interest shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
