Expression of Interest

1. This invitation for expression of interest follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN)which appeared in TANePS Issue Dated 11/08/2020.
2. The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has set aside funds for the operation of the Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation during the financial year 2020/21.It is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract for the Consulting services for undertaking Environmental Audit to Goodwill Ceramic Factory.
3. The Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation now invites eligible Firms to indicate their interest in providing the services which include Facilitation of the registration of the project with NEMC. Scoping to determine the scope of the investigation by setting boundaries of the study and identification of potentially significant environmental impacts. Environmental audit based on the results of the scoping exercise and includes (but not limited to) stakeholder consultation, literature review and field work, Assess the social and environmental impacts to present population and environment along the existing pipelines and the likely impacts of the project on their way of life, Attend site verification visits with NEMC. The Consultant shall submit the improved (final) version of the EA report to NEMC for final scrutiny; The Consultant shall make follow-ups with NEMC for the approvals and issuance of the EA Certificates. The timeline for the consultancy assignment is nine (9) months.
6. Interested Firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services by submitting consultant’s profile, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc. Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.
7. A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the Public Procurement Act No. 7 of 2011 and the Public Procurement Regulations, 2013 – Government Notice No. 446 (hereinafter called Procurement Regulations).
8. Selection will be conducted through the Quality and Cost based selection procedures specified in the Public Procurement Regulations.
9. Interested eligible consultants may obtain further information from the office of the Secretary TPDC Tender Board, Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation, Benjamin William Mkapa Towers, Tower “A”, Azikiwe/Jamhuri Streets, P.O. Box 2774, Dar-es-Salaam, 6th floor, room number 608 , [email protected] from 09:00-15:00 on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.
10. Expressions of Interest (EoI) must be electronically submitted in the proper format, at or before 21/10/2020, 11:0011. Late Expressions of Interest shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
