EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI) FOR SOS DISPENSARY ARUSHA
SOS Children’s Village Tanzania invites Expression of Interest from the interested nationally / internationally reputed Tanzanian Organizations/ companies to run a well maintained, fully furnished and equipped SOS Medical Center in Arusha located along Nairobi Road, Ngaramtoni Area Arusha Tanzania, for the benefits of the community nearby area of the organization.
Background/About SOS Children’s Village Tanzania
SOS Children’s Village is an affiliate of the SOS Kinderdorf International an umbrella worldwide child welfare charity. A non-governmental and non-denominational organization. We respect all religions and cultures and work with trusted partners in places where we can contribute to social development. SOS Children’s Villages works to prevent family breakdown and care for children who have lost parental care, or who risk losing it. We work with communities, partners and states to ensure that the rights of all children, in every society, are respected and fulfilled. SOS Children’s Villages supports families so that they can stay together, and parents can care for their children, We work closely with the authorities and the community, and jointly work out what assistance families need.
Eligibility Criteria
· A recognized National / International level reputed medical company/ Organization having moto to serve the society.
· Experience in successfully running of Dispensary/Medical Centre/ Hospital for at least five years,
· Proven track record of quality medical service in the community.
· Should be running medical services in at least one place or more in the country/region.
· Should have a central controlling unit to Monitor and Co-Ordinate functioning of the medical services
· EXPERIENCE AND DEMONSTRATED TECHNICAL CAPACITY to Run CTC ( TB/HIV) Clinic, RCH Clinic ( Maternal and Children’s) Clinic as well as dealing with Mentally Challenged and children with Special Pchological Needs,
· Audited accounts and documents on bank credit line (for the past two years).
Infrastructure to be provided by SOS Children’s Villages Arusha
· Medical buildings with well-furnished medical equipment’s required for medial center level.
· Well-equipped laboratory.
· Functional Medical waste Incinerator

· The Facility is Fully Registered With The Ministry of health under Private Health Advisory Board ( PHAB)
· We have a fully equipped and registered Category C Laboratory under Private Health Laboratories Board ( PHLB)
· We have NHIF Accreditation
· The Facility is fully equipped and furnished

Selection procedure
considering the long term commitment of the medical center management with SOS Children’s village Tanzania. the procedure for the selection of institution for running the 505 Medical Center will have many stages.
Stage 1

Stage 2
Short listed institutions will have to provide the following:
· Governing structure.
· A detailed plan for running the medical center.
· Detailed history including the following :
· Any other distinction achieved by the Institution/Management.
· Infrastructure available in their present institution(s)
· Details of their prominent alumni and the alumni organization.
· Contact details of prominent alumni should be furnished. SOSCV reserves the right to seek confidential letter of reference from the alumni.
Stage 3
Shortlisted bidders will be called for presentation and interaction at SOS Children‘s Village. The terms and conditions will be discussed during the time of interaction.
Manner of Submission of Eol
· Envelope containing EOI should be Marked “EOl for SOS Medical Center Arusha
· Date of Submission of EOI: On or before 29/11/019 1700 Hours.
· Date of opening of EOI: 14/11/2019
· Presentation Meeting on EOI: Short listed parties will be informed separately
· A non-refundable application fee of TZS 500,000 will be charged for every application submitted. The fee must be deposited to SOS Children’s Village Tanzania Trust bank account at Barclays Bank Tanzania Ltd. Ohio Branch Account Number 4009337. The deposit slip for application fee must be submitted together with the tender documents.
· The time schedule for stage 2 will be communicated to shortlisted organizations.
